Hair, Fingernails and Peeling Skin.

Sand sticks under nails, coating reddened skin in a dusky hue. The beaches are long, in the distance we can see the misty coast line of another country- - such a novelty- - it may have been Algeria, our geography’s not great.

Days are moist, panting; “Hottest summer we’ve had in years” claim the ‘locals’, fanning their shinning faces with English newspapers.

They still eat fish and chips and insist on wearing grubby socks with Styrofoam sandals,

“How much must we pay to escape our nation on holiday?” we ask ourselves, it was our first (holiday alone) lounging in the foreign sun. I smothered myself in factor 50, but he insisted on a tan. I spent hours peeling strips of skin from his boiled back.

I called him ‘Lobster boy’.

Our hair faded, his to almost bottle blonde, and freckles mottle my face. We saw Greek cities and English invaded villages, we left our phrase book redundant in the sand.

IT’S HERE FOLKS!!!

Here’s the video of us performing Don’t look down - the first track off our split EP with Frau Pouch.

Shot entirely at the Soup Studio session where we recorded all 4 songs, our friend Dan aka brindlefish put this together for us, as he did for the Frau Pouch song Mittens.

The EP will be officially released one week today through our bandcamp shop but we’ll also be playing a show this Friday to celebrate the release where you can get an early bird copy of the CD!!! :D
